Only a Caledonian Would Suffer  Comments

One so verbose. Chief Typist talks about virtual preservation and some of my latest acts…

As usual he is far too wordy so I will sum it up for him…

- Fandom leads to Community which

- Develops an Identity

- Sharing creates a history

- Sustainability is the outcome…

FDSS. Simple mnemonic.

Ingredients: Fandom, Community, Identity, Sharing and Sustainability.

Second Life on Ajax  Comments

Ajax Second Life

In early beta, but this is impressive as a concept…although security aspects make me a bit leary.

  • Basic map
  • Teleports
  • Accepting/declining teleport offers
  • Local chat, instant messages (now fully supported)
  • Inventory received notifications
  • Friend on/offline notifications
  • Balance change notifications, etc.
  • Person search
  • Partial profile viewing

It also correctly logs you in and out, and notifies you if you were disconnected for any reason….

Welcome to the world of Corwin Chevalier. Totally virtual, live and often annoying. My mythical typist could not contain me and now I get my own “blog”. Ugh.
